In the service you only pay for the usage of the car and the fuel you use during the rental time and any possible extra kilometres (Car-specific information under the ‘Basic information’ of the car).

- You have had a driver’s licence for at least 24 months
- You don’t have any traffic offenses committed while intoxicated in the Vehicle traffic register
- You don’t have any payment defaults
- You have not committed more than three traffic offences in the last three years
If you default on payment after you have been accepted as a member of Blox Car’s service you can lose your right to rent cars through the service. If you have lost the right to drive you cannot rent cars.
Any B licence that has been valid for at least 24 months and that gives the right to drive in Finland is accepted.
Yes. As an owner you also have the right to rent cars.
The registration is valid as soon as you have confirmed your phone number. All your information is controlled automatically. If there are problems with your information or getting information we will contact you.
Show your licence to the owner or someone representing the owner when you collect the car keys.
You book a car by sending a booking request to the owner through the calendar on the car’s page. Booking requests can be made for time periods that are marked free and the owner will accept or decline each request. The owner can also add select users to be accepted automatically, which means the system will accept booking requests sent by select users and the booking will be confirmed immediately.
Yes. The owners accept or decline your requests one by one.
Both the owner and user can cancel a booking on the booking page. The cancellation does not require an approval from the owner.
You can make changes to requests that are not yet approved. If the request is approved you can send a change request to the owner. Each change request made on an accepted booking requires an approval from the owner and the original booking is valid for as long as the owner has not approved the requested changes.
It depends on the owner. Blox Car sends a notification about a new booking request to the owner both by SMS and e-mail. Most owners accept the booking within one or two hours, but for longer bookings it can take several days for confirmation to be received.
After you have sent the booking request you receive a confirmation message that includes the owner’s contact details. You can contact the owner directly if you have some questions about the car.
A booking is an agreement between the owner and the renter. Both parties have agreed to the Shareit Box Car general terms and conditions, where the rights and duties of both parties have been established.
The owner can reject the request or the system can do it automatically if there are overlapping bookings. An overlapping booking can happen if the owner has received several booking requests for the same time period.

You will agree with the owner all the details about collecting the car and returning it.

Usually the start time of the rental is agreed in the booking request, but the user can agree a specific time with the owner if necessary.
Always check the condition of the car with the owner or someone representing the owner before you start using it and make sure that all damages and defects are recorded in the list in the glove compartment.We also recommend that you take photos of the car.
Yes. The user can choose to withdraw the booking if the owner is significantly late, in which case the user is exempted from the usage fee for the booking.
You must inform the owner about the delay as soon as possible. The user will be charged for the usage fee and a late fee. You can find more information about the late fee from the price list.
Yes. You should agree about the extension of the booking with the owner. All changes made to the original booking are reported in the final report. If the booking is extended to the following day then Blox Car must also be informed.
You must agree with the owner about the return of the car if you want to return it before the actual end time, but you still must pay for the whole booking.
Each car listed by Blox Car is unique. The accessories are listed in the information about the car and the owner can be contacted for further information. If you remove some of the accessories during usage then you should remember to put them back before you return the car. The car must be in the same condition when returned, as it was when you received it.
When you return the car the tank should be as full as it was when you received it. If the car has not been refuelled the user will be charged a fee that is equivalent to the average consumption that is listed under the ‘Basic information’ of the car. This will be done by request from the owner. When you return the car there must be at least a quarter tank of fuel left. Blox Car recommends that the user save the receipt for the refuelling.
In case of a technical failure or accident, where no one is injured, call Blox Car Roadside assistance ( +358 (0)9 725 844 29). You can order a towing from the same number even if the road side assistance is not bought for the rental. In this case you just pay the normal price for the towing. In more severe cases call first the emergency number 112. After the situation calms down also notify the owner and the insurance company. If the car is insured at If you must order the towing from If Hinauspalvelu 010 19 18 40. In urgent cases you can call Ifs’ claims service 010 19 18 18. The users’ excess for damages during rental is the excess states in the basic information of the car and in the booking confirmation. Read the insurance terms here (in Finnish).

Blox Car checks the information about the car on the Vehicle Register that is maintained by Trafi. The car owner maintains a list of the defects of the car and makes sure that the car can be used and it meets all legal requirements.
You can buy insurances to your car from If. The insurances and covers are valid per vehicle and are valid during a single rental. You can see the insurance cover for each vehicle in the booking details.
The owner may also have taken a motor vehicle insurance for the car, but it is not obligatory. If the car has motor vehicle insurance by If then the owner can also take out comprehensive Shareit-Insurance.
Blox Car invoices you or debits the usage fee from your credit card. You get a breakdown of the fees to be debited so that you can check with the information and prices in the online service.
The rental price is per car and you find the price on the car’s ‘Basic information’ page. The owner decides the rental price for the car and the price includes a certain number of kilometres. An additional cost is debited for exceeding the number of kilometres stipulated.
Yes. But you will pay the price that was valid at the time of the booking. The new price only applies for bookings made after the price change.

You can use your car normally after you add it to the Blox Car service. You define the times in the calendar when the car can be rented. You also accept each booking separately and you can automatically accept select users’ booking requests.
The car must meet the following criteria:
- The car is registered in Finland (Vehicle Register/Trafi).
- The car has been inspected.
- The vehicle tax has been paid.
- The car is in working order according to the law.
- The car can be driven with a B licence.
The service is suitable for any car that you think someone might need.
This depends on the terms of the finance company. You can send an inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember to say which finance company it is.
Nothing, it is free to add a car to the service.
- Sign up as a user to the Blox Car service. As a user you can also rent cars.
- After you have registered you can log in and add your car to the service by clicking “Add car”. To achieve this you can find a form on your own page.
- We check the information from the Vehicle Register and send you a suggested price for renting your car. You will decide on the final price. If you do not already have an If compulsory traffic insurance you can buy the insurance from their online shop or we can leave a contact request with If on your behalf.
- After you accept the insurance we will confirm the listing of your car and the insurance company will send an electronic notification that the insurance has started. You will choose a Shareit-Insurance at the same time: either a third party cover for your compulsory traffic insurance or a comprehensive Shareit-Insurance for your limited or comprehensive motor vehicle insurance. - Blox Car sends you an information packet that you should store in your car. The packet includes a damage report form, a fault list, and a list of accessories. Please remember to fill in the forms and send copies to Blox Car. Store the originals in the glove compartment of your car.
- Check that the information about your car in the Blox Car service is correct and update the availability of your car in the booking calendar.

You are the master of your own car and you accept each booking request separately. If you only want to accept users that you know then you can do that.
Yes. If the owner is a company and the primary keeper is a private person then the company can – with written authorisation – give the primary keeper permission to add the car to the service. In this case the primary keeper will be responsible for all the rights and duties attached to the owner in the general terms and conditions. As the owner you can decide when your car is available for rent. Log in to the service and add the times to the calendar when the car is available.
A user will always request a specific time period. If you have several short time periods available then the user cannot rent the car for a long period – only one period at a time. It is better to mark longer periods in the calendar.
You can edit the availability whenever you like. Editing the availability does not affect bookings that you have already confirmed.
A booking request is approved by logging in to the service and going to ‘Bookings waiting for approval’. You can approve requests by clicking “Approve once”. If you want booking requests for a specific user to be approved automatically then click “Always approve”. The booking requests for the user will be approved automatically after this. You will receive an e-mail for booking requests that you approve and for requests that are approved automatically. You can switch a user’s approval status between manual and automatic at any point from ‘Statistics’ under the page for your car.
Yes. Log in to the system and click the “Decline” button on the page ‘Bookings waiting for approval’. The system has a public statistic about the percentage of declines for each owner.
Yes you can. You can cancel a booking at any time. But remember that the user on whom you cancelled will be able to write a review and the feedback could affect the popularity of your car.
KYes. Users will receive your contact information (e-mail and phone number) after they send you a booking request. The user might contact you if he/she has further questions about your car or using it.

Each booking is a contract between the owner and the user. Both the owner and the user have agreed with Blox Car’s general terms and conditions in which the owners’ and users’ rights and duties are defined.
If you hope to increase the number of rentals, we suggest following steps:
- Please make sure you have added as much availability in your car calendar as possible and remember to keep it updated.
- Take good pictures of your car. A clean and tidy car is appealing. Make sure to have enough light and sharpness. Change the pictures to fit the season.
- Take a minute or two to write a good description of your car and put some thought into it. Which are the most appealing features of your car, the small consumption, roomy inside or perhaps both.
- Invite friends to the service. Inform them that your car is available for renting. The invite a friend -button will be found in in the dropdown-menu in the right corner of the page. Ask them to like and share your car-profile on Facebook.

When you rent to a new person, you must always take a photo if the driver’s license before the first rental. You should also tell the renter about the features of your car. You can keep a list of tips and instructions in the car so that it’s easy for the renter to start using it.

If the car breaks down during the rental period then the user will contact Blox Car and receive instructions. Blox Car will also immediately contact the owner. When the car breaks down then the user’s obligation to pay stops at that point. The user cannot demand other compensation from the owner or Blox Car. If the car has motor vehicle insurance and the car is under 15 years old then the breakdown insurance will cover towing. In this case the insurance also covers the continued trip for the passengers up to 200 euros (further information in the terms and conditions of the insurance).
The user must return the car in the same condition as it was in when it was picked up. The user must collect all loose trash before returning the car. If the car is significantly dirty on the inside or outside after the rental then the owner should inform Blox Car. Blox Car recommends that you add this information to the user-specific review. This will affect how the user acts. The review is visible to car owners when a user makes a booking request.
You will decide what to charge for rent of your car. Blox Car gives a recommendation, but you will decide the final price.
Your earnings depends on the rental-price, quality of pictures, description of your car and how actively you spread the word of the possibility to rent you car. Blox Car helps you boost your rentals by offering tools for marketing.
Our service will suggest a rental price range, but you decide the final price you are willing to rent your car for.

You get a 70% share of the total rental price and the service gets 30%. Shareit-insurance will be deducted from your share, the price of the insurance depends on which level you have chosen.
The user will always pay the price that was listed at the time of the booking request. We will save the price information in the booking. The new price is valid only for booking requests made after the change.
Blox Car invoices rents from users and pays them to the owner monthly. The pay date to the owner’s is in the end of the month following the rental, around the 20th of each month. The date may vary depending on the owner's bank, holidays or weekends.

If peer-to-peer car sharing is a side income and you make less than 10 000 euros a year from it then you are not obligated to pay VAT or to charge VAT on your rental price. Almost all owners who rent their cars in a peer-to-peer car sharing service are in this category.
If you earn over 10 000 euros from renting out a car then the tax authorities can obligate you to pay VAT for renting. A car owner who is obligated to pay VAT must inform Blox Car about it. You get more information about VAT taxation from the tax authorities.
